Song Review: "Heaven Can Wait" By Ryland Fisher
Ryland sings straight from the heart on the title track to the “Heaven Can Wait” EP. With an angelic quality about it, the song feels drenched in so much sunshine. Light as a feather, the arrangement keeps things warm while intimacy reigns supreme over the work. Even little flourishes off in the distance further solidify this tenderness. Words are chosen with care and the mixture of nature alongside a sense of devotion guide the work along. Forgoing percussion, the pacing comes from his vocal and lyrical delivery alongside the fragile guitar strums. By the final stretch, he pulls back leaving only the final wisps of his voice before it fades out.
